Those who follow my Julie Fraser Photography page will know this already, I’m going back to my roots as a studio photographer and will be offering newborn, children and family sessions in my soon to be new studio in Dornoch. Once its ready (waiting on my landlord making changes to it) I’ll be diving straight in with Mini Xmas Sessions so you can all get the wee, and not so wee kids photos taken with an Xmassy backdrop for presents for family.

Blue Willow will therefore be no more, it never really got off the ground due to my fathers health and he came first. So please, if you don’t already, please give me a follow on Julie Fraser Photographer’s page

If opening a photography studio down here in Dornoch, doing what I did in Caithness, newborns, baby’s, kids, families etc do I stick with Julie Fraser Photographer or go with Blue Willow Photography which was born out of the idea I’d be doing outdoor shoots (which never really happened due to one thing and another!

With moving the business (as well as ourselves) down to Dornoch from Thurso I often get asked why I started up new Social Media accounts changing from Julie Fraser Photography, a brand with a large following to starting from scratch and building up from 0?

In Caithness I was predominantly known for being a studio photographer with newborn babies being my main source of work. Sure I’ve done lots of outdoor sessions from starting up in 2010 but that work, while still good, is so old and does not reflect where I am now so a complete breakaway was the best way forward for me.

Why Blue Willow? Well I was looking for a brand name that wasn’t my name and had a more modern feeling to the “brand” and after lots of humming and hawing I decided that I’d name the business after 2 of my dogs ( believe me I tried to work in all 4 names but it was too much!) so I came up with Blue after my cockapoochon Blu, & Willow after my cavapoo 2 wee cuties who run around the place together causing mayhem!

So folks, say hello to Blu & Willow
