When your home is on a beautiful flower farm, there’s only really one choice of where to have your first family photo session together…

Laura and Joe have worked so hard to make the most beautiful wildflower fields up at Briggle Farm in Cumbria and I was absolutely honoured to be able to visit them and take their very first family photos with they baby boy William.

The farm is filled with so much joy and laughter and amongst the fields of wildflowers and sunflowers you can see how special this place is going to be for William as he grows up here. Photos together always hold so much meaning, but when you can truly find a place of meaning too, that’s when you really hit gold!

This beach session with The Fraser family was so much fun!!

Charlotte had wanted to get everyone together for family photos ever since their youngest Lois had been born, and this summer was the perfect time for it. It can feel like you’ve ‘missed’ stages, but honestly whenever you have photos taken you will always cherish them for whatever chapter of life they’ve captured. Children will never be as little as they are now, and as parents we will never be this young again! Haha.

We had a great time on this beach session and the children just loved playing on the rocks, sand and sea. When was the last time you had professional family photos taken where you’re ALL in the photos? I’d love you to get in touch if you’d love to book something in for you and your family xx

Sometimes one post just isn’t enough... 🤍

This maternity session was filled with so many beautiful moments that I couldn’t leave these images hidden away.

Pregnancy can feel like the longest and shortest journey all at once. Before you know it, the bump is gone, your baby is in your arms, and this chapter becomes a memory.

Photographs have a way of taking you right back to those little kicks, the excitement, and the quiet moments of waiting.

If you’re expecting, I hope this reminds you just how incredible this season really is.

I can hardly believe that Bluebell sessions were already nearly 3 months ago!

There’s nothing quite like arriving at the bluebell woodland to the sound of gentle birdsong and that sweet scent that emanates from the vast carpets of bluebells throughout the trees.

This was Amy and her lovely family. They hadn’t had photos with the boys since they were very little and she really wanted to capture them how they are now, as they grow through childhood and into the teenage years.

They were all an absolute joy to photograph and, as ever, I really wanted to get a special one of just Mum and Dad together too! An often forgotten keepsake in our albums through the years.

Thank you for asking me to photograph you all, I hope you love these photos for many years to come.

You might book a family photo session because you want beautiful photos of your children.

But the real reason these images matter, comes much later.

Years from now, these won’t just be pictures on your phone. They’ll be the proof of who they were in this season of life. The way they reached for your hand without thinking. The gap toothed smiles. The favourite teddy that went everywhere. The way they still fit perfectly against you before they didn’t anymore.

These little things that feel so ordinary now are almost always the things we miss the most.

That’s what I’m really capturing. Not perfection, not forced smiles. Just the feeling of loving them exactly as they are, right now.
