NEW IDEA - I wanted to share it before I start promoting anything.
You know how self-tapes are roughly 45-90 seconds? And some CDs say to put a self-tape on your Spotlight to showcase a character that's not on your profile/showreel at the moment....
I want to offer showreel scenes at that same length as this, properly shot on a relevant location, but designed from the start to be just that clip.
Essentially, no filming a full scene and cutting it down. You get a polished, showreel-ready clip with a much quicker turnaround.
It's a self-tape, but on location :)
The catch is I'd likely need to batch these, either running dedicated days with multiple actors, or you'd book a minimum of three scenes in one go.
The slight downside (if any) to this, is that you've got a very minimal window in which to create a character - but the caveat to this point is that you'd only get this timescale/time limit on a self-tape anyway, so it's something that generates something quick, but also something professional for your Spotlight if you don't want to add them into your existing showreel just yet.
