Sometimes i just wanna post stuff without worrying about it being *perfect*! π€ From a pro photog point of view (and self-acclaimed perfectionistπ) I stress about the critical judgement from others especially those of which come from industry pros, ...but, art is subjective afterall! Which means mistakes can be explained as deliberate for 'artistic effect' am I right?!! π
Yes, i stress about the technical quality of my work, ya know normal *throw my computer out the window* kind of stress... π₯² BUT I've realised I just need to ask myself this; why did I start doing it? Because I enjoy it, so if I enjoy it - the creative process and sharing my passion with others how my creative (sometimes self-sabotaging and critical) brain sees stuff, why stress about the small stuff or compare myself to others on here? π€
Yep, there's the question, WHY SUCK THE ENJOYMENT OUT OF IT by worrying about the details when the creative messiness and faux pas are all part of the fun?! The birth and development of ideas - seeing the progress from the raw original to polished piece - I find this so much more beneficial and interesting to connect to people on socials!
SM provides a mutual space for giving or receiving great advice from peers and pros in my field, what's more, these people can be anywhere in the world allowing me insight into unique perspectives. I absolutely love seeing others' work progress and feel grateful to be invited in on a part of their journey. ππ
My point is, SHOW ME YOUR WORK! Whether its finished or not, have fun, dont worry about it being perfect or if there's mistakes, its all part of the creative genius that is you and helps us artists to remember a masterpiece takes time, patience, skill and sometimes tears! π₯²
SUPPORT EACHOTHER AND SHARE EACHOTHERS WORK, give a like, engage in your art communities online, it all helps with a little nudge of encouragement to keep creating and contributing. ππππ₯°
