Apparently on Saturday it was international Dog Photography day !! - I had no idea it even existed 😳🫣😂 did anyone else out there in Facebook world ?
Coincidentally I was at the wonderful dog show event at Picton Castle & Gardens ( not in a professional capacity but we had family staying with us so thought it would be fun to go and take Bisto) and really enjoyed meeting some gorgeous 4 legged friends and chatting to the fab stall holders . A truly wonderful, family friendly event with lots of fun categories to enter the dogs into and some great traditional fete games to play for free around the sides too … I only had my mobile with me but managed to capture a few pics.

I passed !!!!! 🤩🥳

I had such an amazing day yesterday learning so much about the health and welfare and first aid practices for our pets - so much info !! And lots of laughs 🤪🤣
Huge kudos to the amazing Tracy of WOW First Aid Training (and her sidekick ‘Princess’ Bella) - I highly recommend this course to anyone involved even tenuously with pets in their business or even pet owners (especially dogs !!)
It was brilliant to meet the lovely ladies from Nanny McFur too!!

Running a pet photography business isn’t just about beach walks, woodland wanders or getting goofy in the studio with my four-legged friends 🤪

So this Friday I’m off to do my Level 2 Pet First Aid course with the lovely Tracy Oakes at WOW First Aid Training… and I genuinely can’t wait 🤩

This was just a quick iPhone shot I took last week on a beach walk… but I love it.
Is it technically perfect? Absolutely not, was it planned ? Nope 😜
But it feels like a moment.
The light, the space, the way he’s just standing there taking it all in.
Sometimes it’s just not about the right camera or the correct settings. It’s about noticing the story or the moment that’s already unfolding in front of you.

And this felt like one of those beautiful quiet, in-between moments that are honestly my favourite thing to capture.
