Wildflowers? Love them.
Long grass? Perfect.
Woodland edge? Stunning.
Potentially crawling with mice, ticks and other questionable Apparently not a deal breaker. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So apparently all I needed to do to double my productivity was leave my desk… 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am an absolute nightmare for distracting myself from tasks that need doing.

Reply to emails? I’ll reorganise a cupboard first.

Send invoices? Let me scroll Instagram for “research”.

Finish my to-do list? Suddenly it’s urgent that I compare 17 different baby blankets on Amazon.

Then I’ll spend the rest of the day complaining that I’m drowning in admin.

Today I had emails to reply to, messages to answer, invoices to send and bookings to sort.

At my desk? A solid 3-hour battle.

Walking in the sunshine? Done in 20 minutes.

So if you’re a content creator, busy mum, business owner, ADHD brain or just someone with a never-ending to-do list…

Stop trying to work harder.

Just go for a walk!

Meet my two favourites in the world… Winter & Nacho 🥰

Behind every photoshoot, every late night, every dream is these two pushing me to keep going!!

If you’ve ever been photographed by me, you’ll already know Winter. I talk about her non-stop 💕 And if you’ve been on a shoot with me recently, you’ve probably had your ear chewed off even more because we’ve welcomed a new member to the family…

This is Nacho ❤️

He’s now 9 months old- I can’t believe he’s been with us for 6 months already as I can’t imagine life before him.

These two have no idea what they’ve helped me through. Winter has given me strength when I’ve needed it most, and Nacho is healing parts of me I didn’t even realise needed healing.

This is what a typical morning looks like in our house now, and it melts my heart every single day seeing them become best friends.

In Winter’s words…

“Nacho really is the best dog for our family. I love being a family of three.” 🥹

So now you can finally put a face to the name when I inevitably mention him on your photoshoot 😂

Who knows… if he’s trained well enough one day, he might even become my assistant.

✨ Why I love newborn sessions at home… ✨

Because this little guy was giving me a run for my money with his own camera- The pressure was on! 📸😂

While I was photographing his brand new baby Sister, he was busy getting his own camera out and joining in with the fun. And honestly, this is exactly why I love At home newborn sessions so much.

No rushing everyone out the door. No trying to get toddlers to cooperate in an unfamiliar environment. No worrying about being late with a newborn who suddenly decides they need feeding right before you leave.

Your children can relax and play and they have been known to drag me to the playroom to show me their favourite toys 🤣 They have time to cuddle their new baby when they’re ready and just be themselves.

All of this just helps me to capture natural, genuine photos that capture this season of life exactly as it is. The chaos, the cuddles, the curiosity, and all those little moments you’ll want to remember years from now.

If you’re expecting and looking for a newborn photographer in Essex, my relaxed, baby-led at-home newborn sessions are designed to fit around your family, not the other way around and trust me I LOVE the baby cuddles so there is no rush!
