Somewhere Now

My final photography project at university. This project was to shine light on how lighthearted the alternative community is, through poses and vibrant colours. I wanted this project to be reminiscent of opening up music magazines (like ) and taking out the posters for the bedroom wall. Inspired by Green Day, and their song of the same name Somewhere Now, I brought this project to life.

Currently available (until the 19th) in the Hill Street Centre on the first floor at !

Somewhere Now aims to show the alternative community in a fun and lighthearted way.

With inspiration of early 2000s music magazines, such as Kerrang!. The portraits are taken in an informal manner, the models were free to pose in ways that show off their personality.
I hope that my work gives the feeling of looking through music magazines from the 2000s and picking out posters.
