📸✨ A few favourites from behind the lens

One of the things I love most about photography is never really knowing what’s going to catch my eye next.

From stunning classic cars and tiny details, to brilliant characters, four-legged posers and those completely unexpected moments that make you stop and grab the camera. ❤️

I’ve been having a wee play around with the edits on these and I’m really happy with how they’ve turned out. Every photo has its own little story, and that’s exactly what I love about capturing them.

One thing I’m really beginning to love about photography is capturing ordinary moments that would otherwise pass completely unnoticed.

A couple enjoying a walk together by the water, the mountains in the distance and Scotland providing a pretty spectacular backdrop. 🌊⛰️
No posing. No planning. Just real life happening in front of the lens.

Sometimes those are my favourite photographs.

Spotted this gorgeous wee face while I was out with my camera and obviously I couldn’t resist.
The fluffy tail, the little smile and that strut… absolutely stealing the show. 🐕❤️

I’m really enjoying practising animal photography because you have absolutely NO idea what your subject is going to do next. That’s half the fun!

I’ve been experimenting more with candid street photography and capturing people naturally rather than posing for the camera.

I really liked this moment. Just someone out for an evening run, completely unaware of the camera, with that gorgeous warm light hitting the scene. 📸☀️

It’s photographs like this that remind me there’s a picture almost everywhere you look.

Standing proudly out in the Firth of Clyde, the unmistakable Ailsa Craig making the perfect subject in the distance. 💙

I absolutely love how this photograph turned out. The deep blue water, soft summer sky and Ailsa Craig sitting almost perfectly in the centre of the horizon.

Sometimes you don’t need a complicated scene. Just Scotland, the sea, a camera and a view worth stopping for. 🌊🏝️

Another gorgeous four-legged model spotted while I was out with the camera. 🐶❤️

I love the warm evening light in this one, with the sea sparkling in the background and this lovely dog turning to look straight towards me at just the right moment.

No posing, no planning, just one of those little everyday moments that makes me glad I had my camera with me. 📷✨

Sometimes the best photographs are simply about being in the right place at the right time.

How could I possibly walk past this little face without taking a photo?! 😍🐶

Sitting perfectly for the camera in her little pink harness, with those gorgeous curls catching the light. She definitely understood the assignment! 😂📸

One of my favourite things about taking my camera out is capturing the dogs I meet along the way. You never quite know who your next model is going to be. 🐾❤️

All four paws off the ground, ears flying and the happiest little face charging straight towards the camera. 😂❤️

Action photography is all about catching that tiny fraction of a second that disappears before you even realise it happened. This little rocket gave me the perfect opportunity. 🚀🐶

I mean... LOOK AT THOSE EYES. 😍

This gorgeous face certainly knew where my camera was! I love how the black and white coat contrasts with the bright red harness, but those beautiful amber eyes completely steal the photograph.

Pet photography is quickly becoming one of my favourite things to capture. Every dog has so much personality, and sometimes one expression tells you everything. 🐾
