Quite a few people have been asking me about headshots at this time of year, and it makes perfect sense. A strong headshot is more than just a nice photo—it’s your first impression, whether it’s on LinkedIn, a website, or social media.

The key? It should reflect you! There’s nothing worse than using a photo that looks nothing like you when someone meets you in person. That’s why good lighting, the right clothing, and a natural look (not too much makeup) are so important. A non-distracting background also helps keep the focus where it should be!

And remember, your headshot should be suited to its purpose. A corporate LinkedIn profile might call for something different from a relaxed website or social media portrait.

So, if you’re thinking about refreshing your headshot, now’s the perfect time! 📷
