I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself! I’m Rachel/ Raye, you can call me either. I started this journey at the beginning of 2025 as a New Year’s resolution after wanting to do this for a very long time. Taking the step to finally put myself out there has honestly been a whirlwind, the most daunting, yet rewarding thing I’ve ever done. The support I’ve received so far has been absolutely overwhelming, and I am so grateful to everyone who’s supported my journey. If you’ve been putting something off because you’re nervous, take this as your sign to just go for it!
I currently work full-time shooting property photography as the marketing manager for a local estate agent, which I’ve been doing for the last few years. Captured by Raye is something I’m doing alongside this, and I couldn’t be more excited to see it grow.
Since starting, I’ve photographed everything from families, couples, maternity and newborns to pets, and recently started exploring weddings too. I’ve second shot with another amazing photographer, covered a couple of receptions, and now have some really exciting wedding bookings lined up for 2026. While I build my portfolio, I’m offering introductory rates, so if that sounds like something you’re looking for, I’d love to chat.
Family and Newborn shoots are some of my favourites, probably because I’ve always loved being around children. Before this, I was a live-in nanny for my sister, and those years really showed me how quickly little ones grow and change, which is why capturing those moments feels so special to me.
Outside of photography, I have a very spoiled cat called Kuzco, love my daily walks, Pilates with , more recently boxing at , Starbucks coffee, travelling, reading, spending time with family and close friends and autumn is definitely my favourite season.
I’m so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more of this journey, and hopefully capture some of your special moments too!
