St. Johns River, Geneva, FL

Well, a bit of a last minute decision to head out for the Artemis II launch this evening. I knew it was going to be busy, but did not anticipate just how busy. I ended up having to turn the car around and head back towards Geneva and get the shot form there as I ran out of time. Late to location and not really much of an idea where the rocket was coming over the horizon. Unfortunately, it's not central as to the left of the shot there is a bridge with masses of people standing there. Oh well, at least I managed to see a little piece of history.

Go Artemis Go and safe travels to all aboard.

Bridgetown Cruise Terminal, Barbados.

The last shot "From The Deck" as we get set to leave Barbados. The Tug moves in to lend a helping hand and see us on our way under the beautiful glow of a Barbados sunset.

Another shot from the deck of the cruise ship. The sun is just about to set and the tug boat on the left is getting ready to help us on our way. There's a couple of ships at anchor waiting to port and bring their goods to the island.

Bridgetown Cruise Terminal, Barbados.

Another visit to Barbados, but only for a day on a recent Caribbean cruise. Spent some time at Carlisle Bay, but I never really took any pics since it was middle of the day. Getting back to the ship, just as the sun was setting gave me some new perspective of Barbados, that you're only going to get from the deck of a ship. So here is the first of a few images with the theme being "From The Deck". If only the lights were on at Kensington Oval...

This Great Blue Heron was at the edge of the lake just hanging out and watching the sunset with me. While I waited for the sun to set I grabbed the Sony for this shot.

Well, the last day of 2025, what a quick year that was. I was glad to get one more sunset shot in the bag. This is Lake Dora, from Mount Dora downtown and it's such a small world. Mount Dora is actually the sister town of Forres in the north of Scotland where we have very good friends.

Another shot of this majestic Bald Eagle. The post from yesterday it was perched nicely in a tree. When it left the tree, I followed it to it's next location where it was perched on a power pole.

It's been a while since I posted, but I wanted to get one more outing in 2025 to round out a busy photography year. I was hoping to see a Bald Eagle and spent most of the afternoon going to various locations in Merritt Island and other conservation areas before I found this one perched high in some trees right next to the road I was driving on.
