❤️ Some photos mean more than others. ❤️

On Sunday, I had the privilege of doing my first ever baby photoshoot. It wasn’t a paid shoot, but it was one I know I will learn so much from, and one that will stay with me for a very long time.

I had the pleasure of meeting Amber and her two beautiful children, Mickie-Jo and Violet. To some people, these may just be photographs, but to me, these are so much more than that. These are memories. These are moments that can be held onto forever, and memories that Amber can one day look back on with her children and share with them whenever she wishes.

A lot of people may not know Amber’s story. Her husband, Joe Heath, tragically lost his life in a work accident, leaving behind Amber and their children.

But Joe’s memory continues to live on. ❤️
Through his family, through the stories they share, and through Harbour Toon Ladies Fc — the football club Joe started — his name and his legacy will continue to be part of the lives of so many people.

Amber shared these beautiful words about Joe:

Joe was a true family man whose whole world revolved around the people he loved, as well as his beloved Newcastle United 🤣. His children meant everything to him, and he was so excited to welcome our beautiful baby girl, Mickie-Jo, into the world.

Joe was flamboyant, larger than life, and had a way of lighting up every room he walked into. His crazy dancing, infectious personality and ability to make people laugh meant that wherever Joe was, there was always laughter and love.

Our love ran deep. We met at a time in our lives where life was hard, and we built an amazing life together, becoming the happiest and best version of ourselves. Our baby girl was the last piece of the puzzle.

We all miss Joe terribly and can only hope he’s resting in paradise until we can be together again. ❤️

I might not call myself a baby photographer just yet, but I am incredibly grateful that I was given the opportunity to capture these moments for Amber and her children.

There are photographs that look beautiful, and then there are photographs that mean something.
These mean something. ❤️

So please show Amber Heath , Mickie-Jo and Violet some love in the comments. And if you’re looking to capture memories of your little ones, whether they’re natural moments or a proper photoshoot, I’d be more than happy to help.

I just wanted to clear up the story behind Josh and Susie after my last post, because I think there was a bit of misunderstanding about what actually happened. ❤️

Susie explained it to me, and honestly, the real story makes it even funnier! 😂

Josh never actually pretended to be gay. His original pick-up line to Susie was:
“I can be your gay best friend who’s not gay.”
The problem was, they were by the speakers in the nightclub and Susie didn’t hear the last part! 😂 So she genuinely just thought Josh was gay.

They would see each other when they went out as part of the same groups. Josh was always funny and, looking back, Susie says he probably was flirting with her — but because she thought he was gay, she had simply put him firmly in the “gay” box and thought he was completely off limits! 😂
It wasn’t until later, when Josh kissed her, that Susie realised he definitely wasn’t gay! 😂
That then led to a rather awkward and funny first date, where Susie told Josh what she had believed all those years — and apparently he was absolutely shocked!

The funniest part is that neither of them realised what the other was thinking. Susie never really questioned his love life, and Josh apparently thought his very questionable pick-up line was just taking a very long time to work! 😂
So, was it a sh*tty pick-up line? Yes. 😂
Are the photos daft? Absolutely. 😂
Did the pick-up line eventually work? Josh will definitely say yes… Susie just rolls her eyes! 🙄😂
The photos were also completely done as a joke, as they had done something similar at another wedding a few years ago.

Most importantly, they are both absolutely fine with the story and the photos. They’re happy together, they love having a laugh about it, and when they look back through their wedding album, Josh will probably laugh, Susie will roll her eyes, and they’ll both chuckle about the poor photographer who had to take the photos! 😂📸
I’m genuinely sorry if my original post caused any fuss or came across differently to how I intended it. It was meant purely as a funny story about two people who clearly have a brilliant sense of humour about their relationship.
So please, see the funny side of it with them! 😅😂❤️

And once again, congratulations to Josh & Susie. It was an absolute pleasure capturing your wedding day, and I hope these photos give you plenty of laughs for years to come! ❤️📸

So, doing something a little different today. I’ve been waiting for the bride to follow me, and I’ll be doing the same for the groom.

This is Susie Roberts — and fun fact, we didn’t actually meet until she was walking down the aisle. No breakdown of her day, no prep chat, nothing. It was all completely blind. But throughout the wedding, I got the chance to speak with her and learned that this day was four years in the making. A lot happened along the way — not my place to share — but what I can say is that I did everything I could to make her memories of marrying Josh something she’ll treasure forever.

I’m genuinely grateful to have been part of their day, and from what I’ve heard, I left quite an impression on a few guests too.

So please, show some love for the new Mrs Roberts and drop a like ❤️

This Saturday I had the privilege of capturing Josh and Susie Richardson’s wedding in Eastchurch, Isle of Sheppey. It was a unique booking — confirmed on Monday, shooting by Saturday — so I didn’t get my usual chance to sit down with the couple beforehand.

But the moment I arrived, Sue (Nan) welcomed me with a lovely chat that helped me understand more about Josh and Susie without interrupting the flow of the day. Everyone I met made me feel right at home, and it was a joy to photograph such genuine moments.

Here are a few of the images from Part 1. Part 2 will focus on the guests.
If you’re after a wedding photographer who works a little differently, I’d love to hear from you.

Peggy’s Story 💔🐾
Poor Peggy had been passed around from one place to another before finally coming to us.
When the car arrived and the boot was opened, we found Peggy in a serious condition. She was severely overheated, barely breathing, had blood coming from her nose and blood in her poo. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see her in such a state.
That car journey was an awful experience for Peggy and, quite honestly, it nearly cost her her life. I was heartbroken and angry that a dog in such a vulnerable condition had been put through a journey that could have ended so tragically.
Peggy came to us because she desperately needs BOAS surgery, and we were determined to give her the help she needed.
Once Peggy was stable enough to be transported to the vets, further tests revealed that she was suffering from pneumonia. Her white blood cell count is extremely high, and there is fluid on her lungs. Peggy is very poorly and is being closely monitored and treated by the vets.
She has already been through so much, but she is now receiving the care she desperately needs.
Peggy deserves a chance. She deserves to feel safe. Most importantly, she deserves to finally know what kindness and love feel like. ❤️
We will do everything in our power to give Peggy the future she deserves. Please keep our brave girl in your thoughts. ❤️

We are desperately hoping to get some help towards Peggy’s growing vet bills and support for the surgery she needs
If anyone is able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to Peggy and to all of us caring for her. Every donation will go directly towards helping with her veterinary treatment and giving Peggy the chance she deserves.

Hey everyone! 🐾❤️

I’ve had the absolute best experience recently capturing some photos for Last Chance Animal Rescue-Kent in New Romney for their social media and website. 📸🐶

I got to meet some of the most beautiful boys and girls, and I’m so excited to share a few of them with you! 🥰 Every single one deserves a loving forever home.

If you’re thinking about adopting a dog, please do reach out directly to the rescue. They do such an incredible job caring for these animals and helping them find the homes they deserve. 🏡❤️ They also have cats looking for their forever homes, and I’m hoping to head back down next week to capture some photos of them too — so keep your eyes peeled! 🐱📸

Please remember that any adoption enquiries need to go directly through Last Chance Animal Rescue-Kent .

And if there are any other animal rescue centres out there who would love some photos of the animals in their care for their social media or website, please feel free to get in touch with me. I’d absolutely love to help capture some beautiful photos that could hopefully help these gorgeous animals find their forever families. ❤️🐾
