Hi everyone!

I’m very lucky and excited to have made it through to the final of this year’s Land Trust Summer Photography Competition. 📸
I’d be really grateful if you could take a moment to have a look at my Long-eared Owlet image and, if you like it, give it a vote/like by clicking on the image.

Every vote really does mean a lot. Thank you so much for your support! 🦉

Three juvenile hobbies perched up on the telegraph pole, patiently waiting for their next meal to arrive. A great little moment watching these young falcons together as they wait for dinner.

🌅 Gannet at Sunrise | Bempton Cliffs

A photograph from back in 2020, captured at Bempton Cliffs as the early morning light bathed this beautiful gannet in warm golden tones.

There’s something special about being at the cliffs early in the morning, when the light is soft, the sea air is fresh, and the wildlife is just beginning its day.

One from the archives that I still really enjoy looking back on. 📸🦅

A spectacular moment in the sky today as the Moon slipped across the Sun, creating this beautiful crescent of light through the clouds.

A challenging shot with the changing conditions, but well worth waiting for. 🌥️📸

Whitby Sunset 🌅

Some sunsets stop you in your tracks… this was one of them.

Watching the sun sink below the horizon from the Whitby cliffs, with the North Sea glowing gold and the sky putting on a show of fiery orange, pink, and purple. The kind of evening that reminds you to slow down and take it all in.

🏰 Whitby Abbey from above… and wow. 🤯

Perched high above the Yorkshire coast, these haunting ruins have watched over Whitby for centuries. From this aerial view, you can really see why it inspired legends, ghost stories, and even Bram Stoker’s Dracula. 🦇🌊

The dramatic cliff-top setting, the ancient stone arches, and the North Sea stretching to the horizon make it feel like something straight out of a fantasy film.

🌅 Whitby Sunset at Saltwick Bay 🌅

A beautiful evening watching the sun set over the coast at Whitby, with the golden light catching the grasses and sea perfectly. As if the view wasn’t special enough, it was great to see a pod of dolphins swimming past Saltwick Bay as the sun was going down.

Unfortunately, as usual, I only seem to spot the dolphins when I don’t have my camera ready! 📷😂

Still, some moments are worth enjoying with your own eyes rather than through a lens. What a way to end the day.
