Mr and Mrs Olive \\ Saturday 13th June 2026 🥂

When Tash and Tom enquired with me last year and told me all about their wedding plans at , I immediately knew I had to be part of it all. So when they booked, I was really really excited!!

The White Horse in Easton is, without a doubt, one of the prettiest pubs in Suffolk, and serves some of the best food around. Having officially married a few days earlier in London, Tash and Tom chose one of their close friends to conduct a ceremony for them at Easton, followed by an incredible, food and drink filled celebration with all their guests, some of whom had travelled huge distances to be there!

To me, this was a dream wedding. A relaxed day in the Suffolk countryside, a quaint pub setting, incredible colourful flowers by .fleurgirl , a stunning open sided marquee by and a bar area full of happy, laid-back people.

Tash and Tom, thank you so much for having me along to capture your day and huge congratulations on becoming Mr and Mrs Olive!! What a great surname🩷

Jessy + Sam at the beautiful Woodhall Manor 🩷

I first met these two back in 2024 at Sam’s sister’s wedding, so when they contacted me last year to ask if I was free to photograph their own day I felt so honoured.

After a random overnight frost the night before (yes this was only weeks ago?!), we weren’t even sure all morning if the ceremony would be allowed outside, as the temperature might be below 16 degrees?! I’d never even heard of that rule before!

But luckily everything went ahead in the gorgeous little walled garden and it was just perfect.

Woodhall has so many lovely spots for photos, and drinks + canapés on the lawn have such a stunning backdrop.

Thank you both so much for having me. It was so nice to see you again, and some familiar faces too!!

When you run your own business, especially as a creative, there is literally a piece of you that goes into every single bit of work you put out.

Having worked in government sector jobs from the age of 17 up until last year, and it’s hard to explain what that felt like, being one small person amongst hundreds of others. It’s not that no one cared… but ultimately, no one really cared, if that makes sense?!

Now, it’s completely different.

My clients, my couples, my reputation, the way I show up, every single thing matters. It’s all a reflection of me and my business.

So when I receive messages like these from past couples, whether it’s a WhatsApp or an email….it just hits different, because it’s just me, it’s all mine and it takes up a huge part of my life!!

I love the details on a wedding day, the dress, the shoes, all the bits you’ve spent months, sometimes years choosing.

But I absolutely love capturing people even more. Because years from now, it won’t be the shoes you come back to, it will always be the people.

Don’t get me wrong, capturing everything matters. But time and time again, years after I’ve shot a wedding, it’s always the photos of loved ones that end up being re-shared and prints still hanging on walls.

The vibes of this wedding day were off the scale!!

I first met Amber & Rory back in 2024 when I was shooting a wedding where Amber was a bridesmaid and Rory a groomsman.

These two make the sweetest couple and along with their little boy Reuben they make the most perfect little family, so I was really excited when Amber contacted me last year to book me for their wedding!

I knew there’d be a proper party atmosphere, but I wasn’t quite prepared for just how good it would be. From the stunning venue at .suffolk to an unreal team of suppliers, everything came together perfectly. And fully showed up, I need more weddings with these guys ASAP!!

The morning of most weddings days is usually pretty relaxed, with people taking turns for their hair and makeup, snacks, a few drinks and me floating around taking some candid getting ready photos.

But when it gets to that moment when you need to get dressed, that’s normally when you’ll see me suddenly going into cleaner mode and moving things around in the background of where I’m planning to take the main photos. Some photographers leave everything exactly as it is, and this absolutely fine, but I do like to tidy things a little bit if I can!!!

You can’t always guarantee a massive bright room to get ready in, but a few small things do really help:

⭐️ Food & plates – if breakfast has happened in the room, get rid of plates and leftovers once you’re done. It keeps the background cleaner and avoids any accidental outfit disasters.

⭐️ Carrier bags – honestly the biggest culprit!! I’m yet to photograph a wedding where a bright orange Sainsbury’s bag isn’t lurking somewhere in the background!!

⭐️ Music – get a playlist on. It always seems to lift the whole room up a little bit more (+ your suppliers will thank you too, depending on the choice of music of course!)

⭐️ Getting dressed – have a rough idea of where you’d like to get dressed. Somewhere with a bit less clutter makes life easier for not only your photographer, but also those that you’ve chosen to help you. Make sure that you have everything you need in that room and make a list on your phone if this helps, so you don’t forget the little things like deodorant and also scissors for labels etc!

⭐️ Plan a bit of extra time – if there are certain photos you want (first looks etc), the morning always goes quicker than people expect.

Trust me, a little bit of preparation in the room means for much nicer prep photos without me having to hide things!!!
