I am not a birder, but whilst in Belize for some work I decide to do a small birding tour - unlike the pros who go for days to weeks. In that short time I managed to capture a few images. The Cheltenham Tigers women Team - Championship Semi-Final versus Old Albanian Saints.More from a hard-fought semi-final—moments that show exactly what this game demanded.
From the collisions to the carries, and the noise on the sidelines to the stillness between phases—this one had everything. A proper contest between two sides that know each other well and leave nothing out there.
The result didn’t fall Cheltenham Tigers Women’s way this time, but the performance, the fight, and the togetherness are all right here.

he Cheltenham Tigers women Team - Championship Semi-Final versus Old Albanian Saints. Tough one at the weekend for the Cheltenham Tigers Women’s 1st XV, falling just short in a fiercely contested Championship semi-final against Old Albanian Saints.
These two sides always bring the intensity, and this meeting was no different—physical, close, and decided by the finest of margins. There’s a real respect in this rivalry, and across the fixtures, the honours feel well shared.
Plenty to be proud of—effort, resilience, and a performance that never backed down. Days like this don’t define a team, they build it.
Onwards. 🐯💪

An afternoon at the races – Sandy Lane Gold Cup 2026 🏇

Always a fantastic atmosphere at the Gold Cup. I spent some time chatting with a couple of young ladies visiting from France who were amazed at how close you can get to the track here. I also met a lovely couple from Canada who decided to make an early exit before the big race to beat the traffic.
In between the action we managed to solve most of the world’s problems… at least until the next race started!

I tried to capture some of the atmosphere of the day, along with a few of the faces that made it such an enjoyable afternoon.

There are moments in nature that feel less like sightings… and more like encounters.

This beautiful roe (I believe) deer stepped gently into the light near the banks of the River Avon here in Evesham. For a brief moment, everything aligned — the framing branches, the soft moss below, the shadows wrapping around her like a curtain.

I’ve edited this piece with intention, drawing out the depth and mood I felt at the time. I wanted the shadows to remain rich and the highlights to gently guide the eye. My intention was not to document wildlife, but to interpret a moment — to create something painterly.

I’ll be adding it to my Art Gallery collection which I am in the process of building.
