✨ 6 Magical Places in Scotland You Have to Visit ✨ Save this for your next adventure 🗺️
📍 Abbotsford House & Gardens
A hidden gem in the Scottish Borders. Abbotsford House & Gardens is a beautiful, fairytale place to visit particularly in the spring and summer with the gardens in full bloom.
📍 Sligachan Old Bridge
On the Isle of Skye, an island full of magical folklore, stands this ancient stone bridge. Legend says dipping your face in the river grants eternal beauty… if you’re brave enough. I’ve heard it’s very cold!
📍 Dunrobin Castle
An incredibly beautiful castle in the very north of Scotland found along the route of the North Coast 500. It feels like stepping into Beauty and the Beast than visiting a Highland castle.
📍 The Hermitage
A very ethereal woodland location in Perthshire, than feels a lot more like Rivendale than Scotland. Now a popular visiting site all year round, it is worth visiting early or later on in the day to try and catch it a little quieter.
📍 Callanish Standing Stones
Older than Stonehenge, these mysterious stones on the Isle of Lewis are steeped in ancient ritual and folklore. Especially magical at sunrise or sunset. Outlander fans may recognise the stone circle as part of Diana Gabaldon’s inspiration for the incredible series.
📍 Glenfinnan Viaduct
Famous for the Jacobite steam train and maybe one other magical story you might have heard of, this sweeping railway curve is pure cinematic magic. Time your visit to watch the train cross on its way to Hogwarts!
