Let’s talk about “value”

A sticky, taboo topic, especially in a cost of living crisis.

But I want us to drop the money taboo, and start talking about prices! Understanding what goes into an artisan’s price tag doesn’t just make us accept the cost, it also makes us value and appreciate the goods we purchase that much more.

We treasure and care for our possessions when we value them.

And sadly, thanks to mass production (and modern slavery) too many artisans feel forced to undercharge for their work in order to sell it. Which unfortunately reinforces the idea to consumers that it isn’t worth paying more for.
