Into to the Veil of Vrackie
It was mid-Tuesday morning. I was planning on exploring a nearby woodland called Black Spout which is known to feature a waterfall and a nice hiking route. So I packed all my gear and started walking when I decided to have a quick detour towards the other direction in the hopes of getting myself oriented about the conditions of the pathways leading to the highlight of my trip which was to climb Ben Vrackie. This was because it stated on the maps and literature that I read that the starting point for the said climb was just a mile away from where I was staying so up the road I went. I was convinced that this task would just take me a few minutes to accomplish after which I would eventually head back down and march my way towards the waterfall. A couple of hours later, I found myself instead on top of the mountain battling the strong winds and trying to take decent photographs in an environment where I could barely see the next rock due to the thick fog. But I made it. Up to this day, I have not seen Black Spout woodlands. Talk about flexible itinerary.
Ben Vrackie is a mountain in Perthshire, Scotland. It lies north of the town of Pitlochry and reaches 841 m high at its summit. The summit may be reached easily by a direct path from Pitlochry or Killiecrankie, and commands views of Pitlochry and the surrounding glens. Wikipedia
