The thing about sheltering from a storm, is that we miss out on the beauty, magic and ethereal light that only a storm can leave in it’s wake… Am soaked to the bone but richer for having been immersed in field, forest, water & breeze.

Such beautiful light in the forest this evening, it was just wonderful to sit among the bluebells with my camera & listen to the birdsong for a while… before rescuing escapee lambs on my way back home! I always feel so privileged to call this landscape home. 😌

Life has been particularly challenging in recent weeks, so a few days of quiet escape to stay with a dear friend on Gower was a much needed time to find some stillness & solitude.
My camera always travels with me & I loved spending time at Rhossili simply breathing it all in.
I did sleep out in the cave at the end of The Worm’s Head a few years ago but with the causeway already covered by the incoming time, a bed in a warm room it was this time!
