One of the most mainstream attractions in London is Madame Tussaudes, a museum/exhibition showcasing wax dolls of known celebrities, politicians or anyone who's famous. A place usually would not make a place in my bucket list but Mom's joy had to put it up there. She loves the idea of seeing famous faces up front, she has always seen in the big screen, even if they are not alive. And I guess to see the joy in her face, I just had make this plan for her. And aside from the overwhelming crowd, the day was special to me.

ম্যাডাম তুসো লন্ডনের সবচেয়ে জনপ্রিয় দর্শনীয় জায়গাগুলোর একটা। এটা এমন একটা মিউজিয়াম/এক্সিবিশন, যেখানে বিখ্যাত সেলিব্রিটি, রাজনীতিবিদ আর নানা পরিচিত মানুষের মোমের তৈরি অবিকল মূর্তি রাখা আছে। সত্যি বলতে, এমন জায়গা আমার নিজের বালতি-লিস্টে কখনোই থাকত না। কিন্তু মায়ের আনন্দের কথা ভেবেই এটা তালিকায় উঠে এসেছে। ছোটবেলা থেকে যাদের শুধু টিভি বা সিনেমার পর্দায় দেখেছে, তাদের এত কাছ থেকে দেখার ভাবনাটাই ওর খুব ভালো লাগে, তারা বেঁচে থাকুক বা না থাকুক। আর ওর মুখের সেই খুশিটা দেখার জন্যই মনে হলো এই প্ল্যানটা করতেই হবে। আর ভিড়টা যতই অসহনীয় হোক না কেন, দিনটা আমার কাছে সত্যিই খুব স্পেশাল ছিল।

I’m not crazy about eating fruits but picking them up freshly right out of open farms is something that I won’t mind doing again.

There’s a large farm called the Cairnie Fruit Farm in Cupar, a small town beside where I live, takes about 25 minutes to drive there, a 2 pounds entry fee and then few miles full of farm fresh strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries and cherries for anyone to eat unlimited and bring them home with some few pounds more.

আমি তেমন একটা ফল খেতে পাগল না, কিন্তু খোলা ফার্ম থেকে একদম টাটকা ফল নিজে হাতে তুলে খাওয়ার অভিজ্ঞতা? এটা আমি আবারও করতে রাজি।

আমি যেখানে থাকি, তার পাশের ছোট্ট শহর কুপারে Cairnie Fruit Farm নামে একটা বড় ফার্ম আছে। গাড়িতে যেতে প্রায় ২৫ মিনিট লাগে। ঢুকতে ২ পাউন্ড এন্ট্রি ফি, তারপর বিশাল ফার্মজুড়ে টাটকা স্ট্রবেরি, রাস্পবেরি, গুজবেরি আর চেরি যত খুশি খেতে পারো। আর চাইলে অল্প কিছু অতিরিক্ত পাউন্ড দিয়ে বাসায়ও নিয়ে আসতে পারো।
