Blickling Estate in the ❤️ of Norfolk. Birthplace of Anne Boleyn, second wife of King Henry VII
Anne was born in a much less extravagant Tudor style home in the early 1500s. This marvel was constructed 100 years later for chief justice of the Common Pleas, Sir Henry Hobart, 1st Baronet.
Blickling Hall is home to some of the oldest books around, with over 12k volumes. Curators and historians meet once a week to examine the rarest and most interesting.
Now owned and operated by , who run regular events in the gardens and around the estate. Loads of history, manicured garden walks, lawn chairs by the lake, shops, pub, and a huge outer grounds with woods makes this an all day outing.
Kitchen garden is fully kept with rows of apple, pear, and stone fruit trees, vegetable rows, and active greenhouses. 🌱
