When people look at my pictures I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice - Robert Frank.

Photography covers such a vast range of ideas, themes, styles. And then there is the gear, and that range is just as vast! The best camera that you'll have is the one that is in your hands, I'm sure I read that somewhere, and that is very true. There are many camps, Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji and so on. And each better than the other. Then there is the lenses, filters etc.
I have one camera and one lens. It bothered me for a long time that I only had limited gear. But I decided that I had better learn how to get the best out of what I have, rather than worry about what I didn't have or what I needed.
What I have is a Nikon D810, coupled with a AF-S Nikkor 28 - 300mm 1:3.5 - 5.6 G VR. I did read a review, I think by Ken Rockwell, who basically said that getting this lens would save you $1000s on getting other glass. No matter, we go out and have fun.
Over the last year or so, I have tried to take my craft, and it is a craft, more seriously, have taken part is some great workshops.

I would like to think that my photography is a form of poetry, an expression of myself that I could never find the words for.
