I mean I’ve posted a lot of places that look tranquil as. This one is pretty high on the list and it’s a relatively familiar one. Could you imagine the views you’d get from this beauty? The only downside to living somewhere like this would be the snow - you’d be stuffed. Then again forced isolation sounds a little bit up my street unless it involves the dreaded c word. Can’t wait to head back here soon!

Snake Pass in the Peak District winding it’s way past Ladybower Reservoir in the height of moody conditions. Love it when low cloud isn’t packed in and you manage to get these little snapshots through the mood. Ladybower seems like one of those areas where you can visit a million times and still find something different each and every time; conditions, season and the sheer size of the place seem to give it unlimited visitability - not to mention that fact it’s just on the outskirts of Sheffield so it takes no time to get to whatsoever. Wild and Wonderful but oh so accessible.

Bank Holiday weekend is here you lovely bunch and we don’t have work on a Monday… delightful! I’m also off on Tuesday because I’m striking thanks to the useless twits we have in charge so that makes for a stinker of a turn. Charlie gives us another short week next week - bloody marvellous. This is from last year - an early rise to explore Cuckmere Haven for the first time and chuffin’ ‘eck it’s a bit o’lovely isn’t it? Being a northerner and liking big hilly places and mountains I just thought that the south coast was where old people went to retire. I’ve corrected myself now. I’ll be returning. It’s chuffing beaut. Pints are a bit pricey though…

Ynys Llanddwyn at sunset. Absolute corker of a place to be. Don’t know why it seems so strange that you’d have a forest so close to the beach but in my head I was a little surprised. Miles of golden sand, lighthouses, Snowdonia as your backdrop and a setting sun. I’ll have a bit of that thanks 👌

Just booked to head back to Wales in the summer. Counting down the seconds. Love Snowdonia and all of its scale and beauty. Also cannot wait to head back for the best pizza this side of Italy 😍

When that mood hits just right. Exploring the edges of Winnats Pass on a gloriously moody morning surrounded by fog and that delicious silence it brings with it. I’ll never tire of this place. 😍

I adore this place. Something about being in the middle of nowhere, at dawn, with only big lumps of rock, a slither of road and a stream make isolation feel so attractive. One of the quieter parts of the busiest wild part of the UK is definitely worth the journey. The views are epic and the silence is bliss!

Well. This has been a while hasn’t it? Kind of lost my mojo a little and haven’t been out in a very, very long time. Don’t really know what happened. I’ve not stopped using my camera but been focussing on small stuff and taking a gabillion pictures of my little man being awesome at everything he does. I think everyone goes through ebbs and flows creatively and they just need to be back in the right headspace. Going back out for the first time potentially this year in the morning so wish me luck. I’ll probably end up with crap weather and have forgotten how to get a decent image. Ah well. It’s the fun of it that keeps us coming back!

This was taken last year at Beachy Head when we went down for my brother-in-law’s wedding. Never really appreciated this bit of the coast before then but it’s breathtaking. I’m heading back to encouraging a toddler to use a potty successfully- wish me more luck with that!

Another view of Derwent. Pretty magical when you stand at ground level and realise the sheer volume of water that it holds back. Magical and a little terrifying. The noise when it’s in overflow is epic - would love to live in that little tower - the views are beaut!

Happy New Year Folks. I’m back from my little hiatus. Burnout is definitely a thing! Illness, tiredness and losing my head all led to a well needed break from the world for a little bit. This year I’m going to be giving myself a little project to be working on - I’ll keep you updated. For now bask in the beautiful glow cast on Derwent Dam on a bloody cold morning. 🥶
