Wow! What an event! 😮🙌
It was a pleasure to attend Worktree's Career Mixer event over at MK:U in Milton Keynes and capture the evening through my very own camera.
I had the chance to meet so many interesting people, especially the young students taking part in their very first networking experience.
Watching them learn how to introduce themselves, make conversation, and build confidence, even when it felt a little awkward, was genuinely inspiring. That's a huge part of networking! (Yes the awkward part too! It's natural! 😆)
It made me smile because even as a professional, I'm still learning something new every day. I guess we're all students at the end of the day. Most importantly, I saw a lot of myself in every one of them, it's a very nice thing to see.
A huge thank you to the Worktree team for having me, especially Bhupinder Kaur Roda, Michelle Theuma, all of the trustees, and of course Mark Austin for inviting me. I hope I made an impact on everyone, no matter how small.
Also big thank you to all the professionals as well who I had to opportunity to network with, an absolute pleasure! (Sarah Watt, Damon Fox, Rachel Collar, and everyone else!)
