Dagenham Camera Club

Dagenham Camera Club Our aim is to help all our members to improve their photography skills in an easy going way. New members are always welcome.

Dagenham Camera Club was formed in 1939 by Philip Bowen and Joseph Barford and it is still going strong with a present membership of approx 35. We meet on Thursday evenings throughout the year, with a two-week break for Christmas. The syllabus includes regular competitions for both prints and digital images with invited external judges. We also regularly take part in outside competitions with othe

r clubs in the area. We have a wide range of presentations and tutorials by visiting photographers and club members. Social events are important to us, we arrange outings, quiz nights and of course a Christmas meal. The club owns various items of equipment including some studio lighting. This is often used for our practical evenings where members can share their expertise in portrait, still life or other styles of studio photography. They are invited to come along for up to three weeks before a subscription is required. You must be a fully paid-up member in order to participate in all club activities including entry to our competitions. THE COMMITTEE - 2023
