A misty afternoon walk from the workshop for me and after the school bus for him… and somehow my boy is already miles ahead, even though we set off together - apparently I walk too slowly and I’m too easily distracted by the cats… He’s absolutely right of course! 😻

Palm Sunday in Clovelly.
🌿🌸🫏💒🤍

A beautiful service at All Saints Church, led by Revd. Andrew McWilliam, setting a reflective and uplifting tone for the day.

Then Clovelly donkeys Bert and Alfred, stole our hearts as they joined the service and led the way from the church, through Clovelly Court Gardens, along the Long Walk, down the cobbles and on to the New Inn.

A wonderful Clovelly day.

It’s been a beautifully peaceful start to the day here at Crazy Kate’s - a gloriously slow weekend after such a busy time recently.

The lighter mornings are making all the difference, and we’re so grateful for a bit of sunshine - my morning coffee never tasted so good! ☀️

Just the machines vs. the entire ocean! 🌊🚜⚓️

Every winter, big tides and stormy seas build a pebble ridge at the end of Clovelly harbour wall.

Sooner or later, those pebbles have to be moved so that boats can safely get in and out of the harbour.

The sound of the stones echoing around the harbour is unreal, but I’ve lived here long enough now that I actually find it strangely reassuring… I must be mad! 😅

A couple of years ago I shared this same process… and somehow that post blew up way past 600K views!

Morning clouds rolling over Clovelly Harbour

Thirty minutes, condensed into just a few seconds.

There’s a lot unfolding in the world right now.

This little timelapse felt like a quiet reminder that while so much is uncertain, the tide still shifts, the clouds still drift and the earth keeps turning.

Holding space for the terrifying realities so many are facing - and also for the small, steady moments that help us stay grounded.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, if you’re struggling with fear, grief or heartache… maybe take a pause today. I know I will be. 🫶 Notice what’s around you. Find the glimmers, however small.

Note to self:
Look up.
Breathe deeply.
Stay present.

What a joyful morning we shared at St Peter’s Chapel, brightening up a grey February day together.

Gina baked the most marvellous chocolate cake 😍🍰 Dolly made endless cups of tea ☕️🤩🫖 Chris, Richard and David were on bunting and daffodil duty!

It may have been raining outside, but everyone who joined us brought the sunshine. ⛅️ Thank you to each and every person who came along and made it such a special gathering.
