✨💭CREATIVITY NEVER SLEEPS💭✨
Does anyone else find their mind runs wild with creativity as soon as your head hits the pillow?
Recently I've been incredibly inspired at night time when it's meant to be bed time, anyone else?!! I feel like I'll forget thing when I go to sleep or there's nothing but silence so my thoughts speak louder than ever. Where's the off button?
So I've started sleeping with a note pad by my bed, and find it's been helping. I jot down my ideas, dreams, thoughts, inspiration and even my worries, they will be there in the morning and I'm then at ease to try and relax.
Last night I couldn't switch off though. Amanda I think you may of had something to do with this 🙊.. Please stop making the cutest mug rugs!! Head over to to check out her free pattern (and swipe to see mine they couldn't be more different )...
I've also learnt I am RUBBISH at following a patterns I just go off on a crochet tangent and create something completely different to what I first set out too... but I guess that's the beauty of creativity aye?!
Do there I was at 10pm till the early hours supping this little plan mat up and it's actually pretty adorable.
So things I've learnt:
try not to go on your phone and be inspired by all the incredable artists we follow late at night. I must take a leaf out of your book at switch it off at 8pm... If you guys don't already, you'll end up like me crocheting into the early hours of the morning. Write your thoughts down so you know they wont be forgotten. This has really helped me switch off in the past. And lastly if you're struggling with sleep during lockdown you're not alone, my sleep is so out of kilter. Apps like really help me with sleep and for breathing & meditation let me know if this helps you guys too...
How are you all coping with sleep & wild creativity?
