Alaska: Finding Myself at 40 Below is a deeply personal short film about stepping away from the noise of life to confront what remains when everything else falls silent.

After a difficult period marked by poor mental health and intrusive thoughts, I travelled to Alaska—not to escape, but to pause.

In temperatures reaching 40 below, surrounded by vast emptiness and raw beauty, this film captures a journey of reflection, resilience, and reconnection.
Through stillness, solitude, and extreme conditions, Finding Myself at 40 Below explores what it means to slow down, listen inward, and begin rebuilding from the inside out.

This film isn’t about fixing everything, it’s about acknowledging struggle, embracing vulnerability, and finding clarity in solitude.

Shot and produced during my time there, it’s a quiet reminder that sometimes the most important journeys are the ones we take inward.
