I'm Kate Campbell and I've loved being a professional photographer since 2012 (wow that's a long time). Helping women tell the story of their business and brand is just part of my photography passion. I also spread the love of photography when I teach hobbyist photography with Going Digital Yorkshire, and have fun photographing babies and children in our studio. For me it's all about people - helping them find their confidence and have fun whether that's in front of behind the camera.

THIS is my kind of networking. 💛😂

Last night with Connect Women In Biz was full of brilliant conversations, lots of laughter, fabulous women and some really interesting talks too.

Because being visible in business doesn't always have to mean standing up and shouting about what you do.

Sometimes it's simply showing up, having a chat, making a new connection... and having a really good time while you're there.

Judging by these photos, I think we managed that last bit rather well. 😂

It doesn't have to mean making a Reel.

Or going Live.

Or suddenly sharing your entire life on Instagram. 😆

It could simply be...

✨ Sharing a photo of yourself instead of your logo.

✨ Commenting on someone's post instead of silently scrolling.

✨ Telling people what you actually do.

✨ Sharing something you're proud of.

✨ Showing a tiny bit more of the person behind the business.

Nothing enormous.

Nothing terrifying.

Just one small thing that lets people see a little more of you.

So... what could your 5% be this week? 💛

Taking visibility lessons from the experts today... three little girls who apparently have absolutely NO interest in being only 5% more visible. 😂💛

I'm at beautiful Roundhay Park for a family shoot today, and it's reminded me how naturally children do this.

They don't worry about whether they're standing right.

They don't wonder what everyone else will think.

They don't wait until they feel confident enough.

They just show up, have fun and get on with it.

So I'm taking a leaf out of their book today.

Grab the camera. Have some fun. Stop overthinking it.

And be 5% more visible. 💛

(Or 100% if you're feeling three-little-girls-at-Roundhay-Park levels of confidence. 😂)

Breaking news...

Turns out buying a gimbal doesn't automatically mean you know how to use it. 😂

Who knew?

There was a lot of walking backwards.

A lot of walking forwards.

A few confused looks.

And at one point I think the gimbal was more in charge than I was. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Still...

You've got to start somewhere.

So here's today's reminder:

Be 5% more visible...

Even when you haven't got a clue what you're doing. 💛
