Getting up close with this beautiful hedgehog during a conservation and education photography session at West Country Wildlife Photography. 🦔
Experiences like this help photographers capture incredible images while supporting education and raising awareness of the wildlife we share our countryside with.

A curious Scottish wildcat kitten exploring the world one cautious step at a time.

Although photographed in captivity, this kitten is part of a conservation breeding programme helping restore one of Britain's rarest native mammals to the wild.

Hopefully, one day, encounters like this will become a little less rare.

Great day out snapping wild red Squirrels. I hope the conservation efforts are successful and they manage to reduce the population of the invasive grey Squirrels and allow or native reds to bounce back. Unfortunately there are only a few pockets of the country that has them remaining. I know there are positive signs with the reintroduction of the Pine Marten as the reds are smaller so can get out on thin branches and safety.

I managed to get out a few evenings this week and spend it with a Badger Sett I'm lucky to have access to.
