Roaming Railways, Roads & More with Joss Long forgotten slides!

I've recently rescued from storage my transparencies taken in the 1980s/1990s, they haven't been seen since then until now so I decided a new page would be a good idea instead of mixing them up with my personal day-to-day.

In addition to touring railways, I used to collect leaflets, brochures, timetables etc. I recently re-discovered several boxes full dating from the 1970s to 1990s which include British Rail Regions & Sectors, Intercity, Network SouthEast, GWR, HSTs, London stations, Regional Railways, London Transport and more. I will be taking most to the Bristol Railwayana Collectors Fair this coming Saturday, 13th June 2026 - please see image two for the poster with details.

I must have had a bit of a wait for the Exeter service because I took a few more pix, these are loco hauled services seen in the early morning at Basingstoke on 1st October 1988, the NSE Ian Allan Network day. If I recall correctly, BR made an effort to run a variety of haulage on these Network days. First is a double heading by 33029 & 33011, Class 47596 on a works train, Class 50018 on an Up working, note the enthusiasts heads!, Class 37709 running light engine.
