Hello, loves!
I thought it was time to put my mug back on the grid as I haven’t since January!
Thankyou to the gorgeous Wiltshire & Cotswolds Family Photographer | Tasha for these shots, edited by me.
1. Fact. I will not show up to our shoot looking like this 🤣 think scraped up mum bun, no make up because it’ll just get smeared on my camera, wearing something comfy from running around after the kids all day. Probably with bits of their lunch rubbed on my front.
2. I have 3 small children of my own. They are mad, frustrating, lovely, wonderful bundles of joy and chaos. They make me frazzled, overwhelmed, late, and happier than I could ever say. I understand the different stages of parenting, the hardness and softness of it all, as I’m right there with you!
3. I have been a secondary school English teacher for the past 10 years, up until having my daughter. I have dealt with PLENTY of things in and out of the classroom that enable me to manage every big feeling or moment of stubbornness during a photoshoot. I can also chat to a brick wall, because it sometimes takes a chatterbox to make teenagers like Shakespeare 😅 so please don’t arrive feeling nervous that it’ll be awkward, because it’s my job to make sure it isn’t.
4. I love babies and children. I will coo over your newborn right along with you, marvelling at their eyes, their hair (or lack thereof), their chubby legs and impossibly tiny toes. I will cuddle them if you’re comfortable, allow you an extra minute to fix your hair or sort out your dress. I will laugh at the wildness of your toddler with you, will chat with an older sibling about Minecraft or unicorns. I think children are some of the funniest people on the planet, & they could literally never offend me with a single thing they say.
5. Mothering is my greatest achievement, the best thing I’ve ever done. Spending money on recording my own mothering through photoshoots is something I value exponentially - there we are, on my walls, happy and thriving, because of all of my hard work. Let’s get you on the walls with your babies, too.
