G & H wrapped in love.

So much of our mothering is held in these sacred places. Kitchens, bedrooms, nursery floors, sofa corners, bathrooms. Warm, intimate, close. Skin on skin. Milky smiles and tiny fingers.

Sometimes the photoshoot that best captures your current season is held in these sacred places. In the bath, in the kitchen, at the table covered in drawings and coffee stains. You won’t want to relive some perfect, unrecognisable version of yourselves. One day you’ll want the mess. The skin. The love.

I’d love to book more bathtub sessions. This could be at the kitchen sink, in the family bathroom, in a tub in the garden. It could be a bubble bath, a milk bath, a flower bath. There’s something so beautiful about just you and your baby, the wet softness of skin as you care for them, cuddle them, are as one. I’m saying ‘see you later’ to some of the photoshoots from the colder months of this year as we move into our mini heatwave next week. I loved every moment of connection, touch and feeling, allllll of the windswept moments, jumpers, layers, kissed toes and tucked back hair…

But man oh man am I buzzed for some sunshine 🤣

Glorious sunsets, summer dresses, daisy fields, children staying up way past their bedtime. Every summer my family’s routine goes straight out the window and it makes for the most wonderful memories, evenings I will revisit like a favourite book: fire pits, sand dunes, park play dates and far too many ice creams.

My availability for the summer is super limited so if you were thinking of booking a session do get in touch sooner rather than later.

I am so behind on grid posting, I somehow haven’t put up this gorgeous family from back in February. We had the MOST fun during a gorgeous sunset at the Folly.

Family sessions like these are the absolute best. Playful, full of movement and energy. Blossom on fingers, hands entwined, handstands in the field. Racing each other, tickle piles, a boat within the forest and the magic Tolkien piano. Where the session itself is the memory - an hour or two of connection and play, light and laughter - and the photos are a bonus the other side.

I would love to capture more sessions like this. Full of play and warmth, not a second sitting still. Hands full, hearts full.

Maternity photoshoots - let’s talk about them.

They’re often the last thing we think of. The thing that never makes it to the top of the list, particularly if you already have another child. But it’s the thing my clients always tell me they regret not having the most.

This season is so fleeting. And it doesn’t have to be something that is big and posed, that doesn’t feel like you. It can be all the tiny moments with the child/ren you already have, their new sibling between you all. It can be family, closeness, love and touch. Marvelling at the swell of a tummy that is also a home. Listening for kicking feet, tickling belly buttons.

How special for the new baby to see you all like this one day? To see how loved and wanted they were? To see how small their big brother or sister was, before they grew up overnight?
