Pink manor 👻 this was a paid event by spooktacular ghost events.
Our investigation, from the moment we arrived we felt the energy of this insane place. Starting the night we had intelligent responses through cat balls, taps etc. As we moved into the bar we felt the energy shift as soon as I stepped behind the bar which used to be a ‘men only snug’. As I called out to William, it felt like he was stood right next to me as I had goosebumps and suddenly all the cat balls around the room turned on at the exact same time, I instinctively ran back out and said ‘I don’t want one of those glasses smashing me’ but naively I went back behind thinking the worst that could happen is the cat balls going on again. I was wrong. Within minutes I felt something touch my leg but before I could say anything, a glass flew off the shelf hitting me and smashing on the floor. This is the first time I have ever witnessed anything like that in my life and it’s safe to say I did not return behind that bar! (Picture of the glass below). As the night continued we had intelligent Estes session’s and vigils, lots of bangs, clear heavy footsteps, tapping on the window when we were on the third floor, some of us being touched and poked.
The history of this building - A stone Tudor manor once stood proudly on this site, built by the Powell family. In 1720, it passed into the hands of the Hope family and was later inherited by Hannah Jones of Trefonnen, whose family owned the land where Llandrindod Wells Mineral Springs were discovered in the 1730s. In 1787, the estate was inherited by Thomas Jones, a renowned Welsh landscape painter. During the early 1800s, the manor passed to his daughter and between 1832–1839, it was extensively remodeled into the grand Tudorbethan-style house that still stands today. By 1863, Clara Thomas, granddaughter of Thomas Jones’s widow, became the last of the gentry to reside here and carried out further enhancements. Following her death in 1914, the estate was divided and later restored by the Evan-Thomas family, transforming it into a shooting estate. In 1958, the house was auctioned and purchased by Margaret Carrel, who owned it until 1978. During the 1980s, the Cook family operated it as a country hotel for over 20 years.
