Today, our Social Photography members enjoyed a special creative lighting and off-camera flash workshop at the amazing Fellows House in Cambridge, with one member stepping in as a model
It was a brilliant opportunity to experiment, learn new skills and create striking images—all within our friendly, welcoming and supportive community.

Wasn’t exactly planning on stepping out of my comfort zone and shooting a day party yesterday… but here we are.

Found myself at KIKI Cambridge for spank_cambridge_day_party with my camera bag still on me from an earlier job, and the vibes were way too good not to get involved.

Big love to the organisers for letting me jump in, and to the resident legend behind the shots Nadderz Photography 🎭🧿 for sharing the playground for one night.

Melody Kane absolutely handled the decks, the place was buzzing and everyone looked like they were having a seriously good time.

Great crowd. Great energy. Great afternoon that very quickly turned into a night.

Definitely one to have on your radar — catch the next spank_cambridge_day_party and see what the fuss is about.

If you are in Cambridge is holding its monthly meet up 3rd floor of the Cambridge central library, a photowalk is being planned by two of our members around 13:45

No booking needed just turn up head up to 3rd floor and introduce yourself , signs are located on the table where UKSP meet

This is EVERY 1st Saturday of EVERY month so if you can’t make this one there will be others.

Everyone is welcome even if you don’t have a camera , let us convince you to spend thousands of pounds on a hobby 🙂

But if you do , social photography can also help turn that hobby into a profit making career.

But more on that another time.

Spent an incredible day photographing the amazing Ruby Flames Entertainment alongside two very talented creatives, Walshy Walsh and Brandon Edmontson

Days like this remind me why I started pushing myself to learn new techniques. This shoot gave me another chance to develop my off-camera flash (OCF) skills, and every time I improve, it puts me in a better position to help others improve too.

That’s exactly what All images taken by members - members collaborate for upload is about.

By building partnerships with talented performers, businesses and organisations, I want to create genuine real-world opportunities for our members. It’s not just about learning photography in a classroom or watching YouTube videos—it’s about getting hands-on experience, building a portfolio, making connections and working with incredible people.

It’s a win for everyone involved. Photographers get affordable opportunities to develop their skills and expand their portfolios, while performers, models and creatives gain access to high-quality photography at a fraction of the usual cost.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for making it such an enjoyable day.

They really was the easiest couple to work with , just so wrapped in the love for each other I couldn’t tell you how simple it made my job . I will miss these pair and their family and friends it was a good day getting to know them all.
