It’s taken a few days to share this photo as we have been travelling around Iceland on our honeymoon after our elopement last week.
One of my biggest wishes was that during our trip we would get some decent Aurora in a good enough location to be able to get our wedding outfits on and grab some pictures of a lifetime.
On Tuesday I was watching the Aurora stats building during our long drive up to Raufarhofn, the most northerly point in Iceland, just under the Arctic Circle. I was willing it to continue and be strong enough to hold until it was dark enough as day turned into night.
I still can’t believe that it all fell into place, after dinner we put our wedding gear on and walked up to Arctic Henge, which is just the most perfect setting to capture aurora.
It started as soon as the sun went down and over the next 3 hours we were treated to such an amazing light show that we will remember for many years to come 💜💚🤍💖

Four days into married life and we’ve settled into a pretty good routine.

Drive somewhere ridiculously beautiful.
Get the cameras out.
Take approximately 847 photographs of the landscape.
Remember we’re supposed to be in some of them.
Set up the tripod.
Run.

Repeat.

This time, the backdrop was Vestrahorn.

We had a brilliant photographer capture our wedding day at the Black Church, but the rest of this Iceland adventure is being documented by us - cameras in hand and the occasional frantic sprint towards the self-timer.

And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Just two photographers, travelling around one of our favourite places in the world, now as husband and wife. 🖤

So… we really did this.

We ran away to Iceland, got married at the Black Church in Búðir and came away as Mr & Mrs Minns.

Which means I’m officially Jackie Minns.

And, as if that wasn’t enough excitement for one trip, I’ve also got a new name for the wedding photography business…

This Minns Everything.

Because changing my surname, rebranding the business and getting married all at once seemed like a perfectly sensible thing to do! 😜

Same photographer. Same cameras. Same love of people, stories and beautiful light.

Just a new name.

And I have a feeling This Minns Everything is going to be a lot of fun. 🖤

Rosie and Graeme 🤍

Yesterday was one of those wedding days that reminded me why I love what I do.

A beautiful ceremony at Shire Hall in Woodbridge, followed by a festival-themed celebration in a field at home in Framlingham.

After the hottest summer, the weather decided to throw absolutely everything at them. But thankfully, the rain held off long enough for us to get the photos they really wanted on the steps outside Shire Hall.

And then there was the ceremony itself.

One of the most emotional I’ve witnessed, with tears from both Rosie and Graeme, and more than a few of their family and friends too. Those quiet, beautiful moments are the ones I love capturing most.

From the emotion of the ceremony to the muddy fields, festival vibes and everything in between, yesterday was completely them.

Congratulations, Rosie and Graeme. What a day. 🤍
