More great advice from Beauty By Emily Faith.
💐FLORISTS💐
I am no flower expert, in fact I'm pretty useless. I'm getting better the more weddings I do and the more florists I follow but essentially I haven't a Scooby doo what most flowers are, what's in season when and what would work with a particular colour scheme... but then I'm not a florist!! 😱
When it comes to utilising your suppliers one of the best tips I can give is to leave it up to the professionals. Trust them to know their trade.
If I had given too much direction to Rachel (The Rose Shed) I would never have received such a stunning bouquet. I gave her quite a bit of free reign to be creative, work with what is seasonal and I really had no idea what to expect on the day and actually to me that was really exciting. She far exceeded my expectations and I was so thrilled with it. I think you'll agree it's absolutely beautiful.
I also think a common misconception is how much flowers cost. If you want a wedding full of beautiful flowers then you need to be prepared to put a decent whack of your budget on them. Talk to your florist about what is in season as that will keep the cost down too. But whatever you decide respect the price they're charging, years of training, hours of creating your bouquets and displays, endless streams of emails with clients, getting up at stupid o'clock to head to the flower market to collect your precious peonies, delivery time and costs and so much more goes into that fee they're charging.
Flowers can also look amazing in your hair, either as a few sprigs of gyp or a full flower crown, your florist can provide these items too and will deliver them on the morning so that they're really fresh.
A few of my most favourite florists are listed below...
Of course Rachel - The Rose Shed
Stephanie - Verbena Floral Styling
Becci - Bijoux Floral Design
