Last night I tried the DJI Action Cam 5 in timelaspe mode , was too busy with my other cameras that I didn't line the camera higher above the horizon (rookie error ;) )

Anyway this will give you some idea what the aurora was like on the 18th Oct 2025 between 19:25hrs and 21:00hrs approx.

With big aurora displays alot of the action is normally on the edges of the display , last night it went almost overhead and the edges creeping towards the South West and South East of my position.

Went out to the Findlater Doocot near Cullen to see if I could catch Comet Lemmon (C/2025 A6). Only had the 20mm and 400mm lens with me (should have taken the 600mm) but I eventually found the comet under the plough.
