2024 ➡️ 2025

Reflecting on the past year, I've come to realize a few things as a photographer.

Buying photos or hiring a photographer can often feel like a luxury, and I understand that not everyone has the means to indulge in it. And it seems like the cost of living won't be changing much in 2025. Not for the photographer either.

Therefore, I have closed my Etsy shop and the website will probably no longer be needed in its current form. The option to order photos will remain.

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who have trusted me to bring their ideas to life through my lens. You've truly inspired me to keep my camera at the ready! Looking back, I had the privilege of capturing some unforgettable moments in 2024 that are simply one-of-a-kind.

I took a break from photography between October and December, which led to quite a drop in views on my page—from tens of thousands to zero. But in just the last couple of days, 28,000 wonderful people have stopped by to see my photos; it warms my heart to think they might have enjoyed them.

As I step into 2025, I'll focus on what photography really means to ME: a way to escape the daily grind, find flow and mindfulness, and seize that fleeting moment that only I can see, right then and there, never to be repeated.

Please enjoy a selection of captured moments from 2024.

The Cathedral Church of St Peter and the Holy and Indivisible Trinity is the mother church of the Diocese of Gloucester.

Gloucester Cathedral (Part 1)

The Cathedral Church of St Peter and the Holy and Indivisible Trinity is the mother church of the diocese of Gloucester. As one of the most beautiful medieval buildings in the country it has long been a place of Christian pilgrimage.

Originally established as a minster around 679 AD by Osric, King of the Hwicce, it became a Benedictine abbey in the 11th century. The present building, begun in 1089 by Abbot Serlo, showcases stunning examples of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.

Notably, it was the site of the coronation of Henry III in 1216 and the burial place of Edward II.

The cathedral has been featured in several films and TV shows, including the Harry Potter series.

After a long period of silence, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas at the end of the year.

There's not much left; a quick photo trip to Gloucester is all that remains, and nothing is in sight for next year.

It will be as it should be.

All the best.

Lincoln Castle 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

After the Battle of Hastings in 1066, William the Conqueror ordered the construction of a castle in Lincoln to help control the rebellious north of England.

Centuries earlier, the Romans had established their legionary fortress at the same location. The Normans built their motte-and-bailey castle there, using the remaining stone walls of the original Roman city.

Lincoln Castle is unique in that it is the only place in the world where an original 1215 Magna Carta and a 1217 Charter of the Forest can be seen side by side, on permanent loan from Lincoln Cathedral.
