Brighton in the rain. 🌧️🖤

The moody nights are getting closer and I’m all here for it. 🤩

Wet streets, darker evenings and better light. Bring it on.

London, but make it move. 🖤📷

ICM is one of my favourite ways to shoot.

The trick for me is finding the balance.. enough movement to create that messy, dreamlike feeling, but still enough detail that you know what you’re looking at.

The scene can blur and fracture, but it should never lose its identity.

Do you shoot ICM? 👇

Waiting 🌊📷

Street photography is a bit like surfing.

You watch, you wait, and when everything lines up. Light, movement, timing, you take the shot.

The moment comes and goes. You just have to be ready. 🖤

This is Brighton 🇬🇧

And some of it’s awesome people and locations 🙏

Brighton Laines Flint House

Orange Row, Brighton 🙌

We have lots of Seagulls in Brighton, found pretty much everywhere! 🦅

Churchill Square car park is a vibe! 🖤

Grand Parade is awesome for panning shots of vehicles 💨

The iconic Brighton bandstand 🙏

So many photogenic, quirky bookshops can be found throughout the Laines ✌️

One of my favourite phone boxes in Brighton can be found on West Street, next to Wimpy 🍔

Circus Street is always a must visit spot!

Grand Hotel on Kings Steeet!

London Underground 🚇

I struggle with summer photography. Give me bright sunshine and blue skies and I’m honestly not that interested. 😂

Thankfully, the Underground is always there for me.

Dark, moody and completely my vibe.

Which one’s your favourite? 👇🖤

Try dirtying up your frame 👀

Sounds wrong, but hear me out…

Instead of always giving your subject a perfectly clean frame, put something in the way.

Shoot through glass. Use reflections. Get behind people. Stick something blurry in the foreground. Let parts of the scene block your subject.

It can turn a pretty ordinary composition into something with depth, mystery and a bit of chaos.

Quick tip: get really close to whatever you’re shooting through. The closer it is to your lens, the more it disappears into a soft blur.

Next time you’re out, stop looking for a clear view and purposely make it harder for yourself. 😂📷

Which shot works best? 👇🖤

Lost in London, following the lines. 📐

Leading lines are one of the easiest ways to add depth to a street photo. Roads, railings, shadows, architecture, even the direction people are walking can all pull your eye towards the subject or lack of..

My tip: don’t just look for the lines, look at where they lead. Find the composition first, then wait for the right subject to enter it. Ir don’t! Less can sometimes be more.

Do you actively look for leading lines when you shoot? 👇

Baker Street 🚇

Probably my favourite station on the Underground, but weirdly not my favourite to photograph.

It’s hard to explain. There’s just something about being there. The old platforms, the layout, the history!. I enjoy the station itself as much as I enjoy trying to photograph it.

Does that make sense? 😂

Which one are you picking? 👇🖤
