Recently, Carole Edmunds - Bridgwater Town Councillor and I met with members of our local policing team in Bower.
We raised a number of issues that residents have brought to our attention, including anti-social behaviour in the park and speeding along Whitfield Road and Eastern Avenue.
As part of the discussion we agreed to arrange joint walkabouts around the estate to help identify local concerns and ensure issues are raised directly with the relevant agencies.
One message came across very clearly: if crime and anti-social behaviour are not reported, the police have no record of it and cannot build up the evidence needed to take action. Please report emergencies via 999 and non-emergencies via 101 or through the Avon & Somerset Police website.
