James Darling Photography Cornwall wedding, commercial and family reportage photographer. London trained, Cornwall based. I started taking photographs in the Royal Marines.

Rather than be part of the events that I was witnessing, I wanted to document them for the world to see. The camera offered me this opportunity. In 2002 I retrained as a photographer at the University of Westminster, London and after graduating with a MA in Photojournalism, I worked for Reuters for three years. I now split my time between London and the North Coast of Cornwall and my photography t

akes me all over the world. I am lucky to have a huge variety of clients and every day is different. Many photographers focus on one area, I thrive on the variety that my work offers, weddings, parties, family portraiture, corporate, charity and photojournalism commissions. Blending into the background whilst the bride and bridesmaids giggle, running up Welsh mountains, charging after busy toddlers, discovering remote beaches, testing boundaries in conflict zones. Reassuring the best man and groom at the altar, documenting tiny babies on special care baby units, getting ‘that’ photo for every client. I tell stories with images whatever the environment, photographing events as they happen. Unobtrusively capturing unique and natural moments. The variety keeps my mind alive and my style fresh, interesting and different.
