Echoes on the platform: A step back in time

Welcome to my first official image under a brand new direction for the page!

While my passion for capturing life through the camera hasn't change, my lens is shifting toward new perspective, subtle details, and timeless storytelling moments.

This shot was taken at Highley station - A place where history seems to hold its breath. Lean against a vintage lamp post, framed by bunting and retro signs, and you're suddenly transported right back to the 1940's. There's something magical about capturing the split second where the modern world completely fades away.

Over the past few months, I've been taking time to step back and reflect on my time, my well-being, and where I want my passions to sit in my life.

I've come realize just how much mental bandwidth it takes to manage a passion in its current form, dealing with social media platforms, managing client expectations and keeping things ticking over alongside my Job and family life.

Pet photography was an incredible support for my mental health when I first started, but trying to run it as a business eventually turned something that bought me peace into a source of pressure and fatigue.

To protect my energy and prevent burnout, I will no longer be taking any client bookings and closing my website down.

Moving forward, I am pivoting this page into a personal, low-pressure gallery for general photography. You'll see me sharing a mix of wildlife, landscapes, pets, and nature projects whenever I feel inspired to take my camera out - With zero expectation's, scheduals, or client packages.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has booked me, supported my work, or followed my journey over the years.

If you were only here for Pet Photography services, please feel completely free to unfollow, as I wont be taking any further bookings or enquiries. But if you'd like to stick around to see the general photography as I share it purely for the joy of the Hobby, you are very welcome to stay.

Looking back at all my photoshoots I want to ask a question to my clients.

Were there images in your initial look that you wish you had picked?

Well I am now going to open up the rest of those images for editing. To get your hands on additional images simply comment below with your Dogs name and breed and I will send you the link to the specific portfolio

Cost is dependant on the number of images your after.

Over the years Pet photography has taken me to some amazing places, and I have met some amazing breeds. But what I love the most is the interaction I get with those pets and their owners.

Hearing so many wonderful stories about both owner and breed and helping those owners to see a different side to their pet. For me as a photographer its not always been easy and I've had to think on my feet sometimes to get the best out of a photoshoot.

I would not have been able to do this if it wasn't for having an understanding from a dog trainers perspective and understanding canine body language to.

Photography is always evolving and I love this. I have gone through various transitions to find what works...but still not getting it where it needs to be.

Over the next few weeks I'm going to be putting together a project that will reshape my photography for the better.

Update.

Photography has always been more than just a hobby for me; it was my anchor during my mental health battles in 2023. Following a counsellor's insight during that time, I began a year-long journey of seeking answers. Toward the end of April, I received a formal diagnosis of Autism.

Honestly, its a lot to process, but it has bought Immense clarity. I am now looking at life - and my art - through a beautiful new lens. To ensure I can bring my absolute best self to clients, I am taking the next few weeks to catch up on outstanding and structuring this amazing hobby into something that fits my strengths and is sustainable.

Because of this I will be welcoming new bookings from July, with availability being Sundays only. I'm excited to share this new chapter with you all.

I'm Popping in to let you know that as of today I will be not taking on any bookings. personal circumstances and life in general have meant that my photography has not been given the time it needs.

There for I'll be taking some time away until further notice. All previous bookings and events won't be effected.

What did you get up to this weekend? Yesterday I was over at the beautiful Saltwells Nature Reserve with the winner of my photoshoot giveaway Goose. We were also joined by some beautifully vibrant bluebells.
