A blurry Adder's Tongue Fern, Ophioglossum vulgate, from the Kent Botanical Recording Group's visit to Monkton Nature Reserve today.

The miniature size of these of plants blew me away, I really do struggle with scale when reading sizes out of a book! These were only a couple of cm tall.

Sainfoin and Spiders at Samphire!
As close as I could leave it to see the Early Spider Orchids, they were certainly past their best but super glad I just managed to see them. Will do my best to see them in their prime next year.
On the other hand, the Sainfoin is just starting to bloom and looking beautiful 😍

Great to visit Durlston Country Park. Very much enjoyed the swathes of Thrifts, Armeria maritima.
These coastal flowers are found all over the Northern Hemisphere, and are often found all over the cliffs of the British coastline, which have led to it also being called "Cliff Clover"

A little detour to Barton Hills Nature Reserve to see the Pasqueflowers, Pulsatilla vulgaris. A super rare flower in UK, it can only be found on a few chalk grassland sites across the country. One more off the 30 for 30 list. 4 down, 26 to go!
