A cracking day in Ballymena yesterday capturing a residential project from the sky and this was the view 180 degrees in the other direction. Glorious view with Ecos and beyond.

Stunning murmuration from Belfast this evening with a sunset to enjoy too. Lovely to capture the moment the mass of birds went under the bridge to settle down for the night.

My friends at are hiring and recently chose to use this photo of mine as the background of their advert (check it out if you're interested!). I'm proud of this photo of a beautiful house extension they did in Belfast and glad they love it too - the simplicity and composition of natural colours and textures of landscape and gorgeous charred Abodo cladding by

Recent photography of St Ronan's College, Lurgan, for McAdam Design.

We were there taking photos on the first day for many of the pupils and it was lovely to see their excitement and joy exploring their amazing new school.

The Strand - 3/3

The careful stripping back in the Strand is unveiling lots of timeless details from 90 years ago - from the hob-nailed footprint of a worker embedded in the concrete, to original windows unveiled from years hidden behind masonry to some examples of great workmanship like the trapezoidal timber cast into the concrete to facilitate the installation of the flooring finishes.

The Strand - 2/3

The steelwork in the Strand is simply stunning. With the cinema design’s nautical theme inspired by its proximity to Harland & Wolff, it’s fitting that some of the steelwork was made locally in the shipyard in 1935, with its specialist riveting techniques exhibited. And it’s still bearing original hand painted annotations, complete with workmen’s autographs.

The Strand - 1/3

I’ve been able to visit the Strand a few times recently thanks to Martin and Hamilton, firstly to capture some shots of the work in progress and also for their recent international CIOB tour. Growing up in East Belfast just around the corner (first movie seen here was Robin Hood Prince of Thieves), it’s wonderful to see the restoration and careful work to make this 90 year old local treasure fit for purpose for many more years to come.
