Responses to the collaborative postcard project 'Deeds and Words'

To commemorate the 100th year anniversary of women being granted partial suffrage, I have designed a set of 6 postcards, entitled ‘Deeds and Words’, portraying examples of strong woman role models in Ireland today. I am currently in the process of inviting women to write on the back of the postcards what they feel is the position of women in contemporary Irish society. This can take the form of a personal experience or an opinion on matters affecting women in Ireland today. As part of the project a selection of the postcards will be displayed in the Gallery of Photography and online.
