august, you were a good one 🌻

a very busy month behind the camera, with weddings, corporate events, family shoots and lots of stories to capture ~ alongside plenty of countryside adventures, coastal fixes, long summer evenings and time spent with some of my favourite people!

one of the things I love most about being a photographer is that no two months ever look quite the same. one day I’m documenting someone’s biggest moments, the next I’m off on a random weekday adventure! 🧭

and now we’re slowly making the transition between summer and autumn, which might just be my favourite time of year after spring: we're still holding onto our summer tan while reaching for extra layers, the sea at its warmest and the first leaves starting to turn golden. perfection 🤌

feeling very grateful for this little life, the people who fill it, and the work that allows me to live it ✨

Oversharing things I realised this summer 🫣

Being a self-employed photographer means constantly giving.

Giving your creativity, energy, time and emotion...

So learning when to say no has been a big one for me!

I’ve realised I don't want to build a photography business around being busy. I want to have the space to enjoy my own life, stay inspired and show up fully for every family, couple and lovely client I photograph 🤍

Turns out, a full cup makes for much better storytelling, connection and creativity! 📸

July was a good one 🌿

A lot of time outside, a little bit of travelling, plenty of photography, swimming whenever I could, and lots of reminders of how much I love a slower summer day.
Also somehow my busiest July in years, which makes these little pockets of quiet feel even more special!
