Happy 2026 🌟
As we slipped into anther year, I am reflecting on 2025 with its ups and downs. As I'm a glass-half-full person, I would never describe a year as a bad one since every failure comes with learnings. I would, however, say that 2025 has been a challenging one for me. There was some heartbreak, some deep loss, and a lot of unwanted inconsistency. At the same time, there has been unexpected healing, wholesomeness, and several firsts. I want to elaborate on a few of these.
In 2025, I had some brand shoots that were particularly enjoyable and therefore taught me a lot about what I want to offer and who I love to work with. At the same time, my photography business was much quieter than previous years, which meant worry and less money. I'm hoping that 2026 will improve on that front.
2025 was a year of firsts: I won my first ever award, and after 14 years in business, the pride I felt was a real motivation booster. I also gave birth to my first ever workshop: from having an idea to approaching a collaborator, planning the outline together and finally delivering it side by side with Abi end of November. The feedback was great and we are now planning revision 2 for April.
I spent a lot of 2025 in a mindset block that held me back significantly. After joining the Wilder Collective, I met coach Rebecca and joined her group mentoring which helped me snap out of my block with immediate effect and do some much needed expansion.
As unexpected as working with a coach was, nothing beats working with a chiropractor for unexpected outcomes. I went to Jasmine with back and hip problems (the result of c-section birth trauma) and ended up with a new self. Nobody can prepare you for how it actually feels to reset your nervous system and how it changes your whole being towards the world in a joyful way.
My friend Sarah's death in the summer served as a stark reminder to live now and in harmony with loved ones as well as nature. I spent more time in our allotment this year than ever and enjoyed many, many wild swims.
I'm so grateful to feel well, strong and motivated for 2026. 🌟
