I took my advanced Photography group on a Photo walk around Maldon last week. I took this Photo to demonstrate 'framing' (having some foreground detail that makes a 'frame' around the subject to give it depth and to emphasize It). This was literally the frame from the old sign of the Jolly Sailor with a Thames Barges sails behind.
