A spooky Friday 13th.
These photos are from one of my very first photo sessions — a Halloween shoot I’ll always remember. 🎃
In some cultures, January and February are still part of a festive season where people wear masks to chase away demons and bad spirits. That’s partly why I felt this was the perfect time to share these images.
In Bulgaria, the Kukeri take part in the Surva Festival, and in Hungary we celebrate Busójárás in Mohács — traditions rooted in driving away winter and negative spirits.
Back then, I had just started my photography journey. I was experimenting with AI stock backgrounds and minimal editing, learning as I went.
My young client, Eddie (behind the mask), was very happy with the result — and that’s what mattered most to me.
Thank you for trusting me, Eddie. 👋
And special thanks to his little sister and mum for braving the terrible wind that day to support us. I know it wasn’t easy — we won’t forget that weather anytime soon! 💙
