Spring Hare's Vigil
A spring hare stands guard, surveying her surroundings with unwavering attention. Her young, hidden nearby, await her return; she leaves them concealed throughout the day, only to reappear in the evening to provide sustenance. She remains motionless, basking in the warm sun, a still sentinel until I pass by.
